There used to be a hilarious clip named Jitensha Otoko (Bicycle-Man) which was a professional spoof of Densha Otoko (Train-Man). Unfortunately it appears the Japanese Broadcaster (FUJI TV?) has been scouting around and you can no longer watch it online - which means I have nothing to show you here.

Something for the laidies.
As mentioned here and further explained here, in response to the growing trend of female otaku there is now a "Maid Cafe" to cater for their tastes. And what would that be? So answer me this, if the girls are dressed as guys and pretending to be guys… is it yaoi or yuri?
Oh btw the cafe is named "80+1". If you don't get the BL reference in that you simply are not trying hard enough.

Strangely these are the only two Reverse Traps I could find (from Mai-Hime and Kino no Tabi). Traps are quite common, but Reverse Traps are a rarity.

It's not often that I see an old figure re-released, and usually the re-release includes a new paint job or some other gimmick to suck all the people in who already shelled out for the original. But this figure of Alvis from Last Exile appears to have been re-released after a relatively short period. Well give 'em what they want I guess?

So much to read so little time to write… that's my excuse.
Anyway on to the topic, if you were bouncing around the net back in June no doubt you would have seen some of the previews or reviews on the new releases back then. Now this is something I noticed myself. Some shows received heaped praise and promised the world, whilst others were seemingly shoved out of view like.. like something unimportant that is shoved out of view.
My prime example here are the two TV series: Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu and NANA. Actually I'm already bored of writing this, so go read this blog . Not long after, seemingly directed as a personal jibe against me Toshiba released more NANA crap .
Now to the present: I still havn't got around to watching NANA, but I'll give you one guess what one of my favs of 2006 was

Behold! The (anime) Enemies of Mankind. Beware the linked image contains themes unsuitable for young eyes, unless they are too young to read English, or perhaps older but can't understand English anyway. Whatever.
BTW, is there anyone else you would nominate? Personally I think Iwaki Tomonori (Rizelmine) and Ikuhara Takeya (DearS) deserve to be listed.

I don't know if this is a genuine screenshot or a fake, but either way it still wins in my heart. Click the thumbnail for the full sized image. By the way, did you know that Pangya is free to play? The American version is "Albatross18" and the Japanese version is "PanYa"

Wow, Japan imports a lot of mineral water. According to the story: in 2005 the import of mineral water was roughly equal to 370 Million Litres, or close to 3 Litres of mineral water per capita. What is wrong with home grown Japanese water?
